Woodbridge Hill Hideaway Cabin + Kirsty & Friends Linky Party

woodbridgehillhideaway20cabin
Andi and I celebrated being together for 5 years last weekend and I thought I’d show you some of the photos of the cabin we stayed in on our little getaway. It was completely amazing.

I don’t think I really need to say a lot here, I think the photographs kind of speak for themselves with how gorgeous a place it was.

{Holga} Forgotten Beach Shot

Holga Beach #1
I found this photo I took while going through some old files and wondered why I hadn’t shown you yet. Either I didn’t like it at the time or I’d forgotten about it but either way I’m liking it now!

If you want to delve back with me into the other beach photos that belong with this guy, here are the posts:
Also you should totally join my linky party… it’s looking a bit sad at the moment! Here’s the link: Kirsty & Friends Linky Party! If you don’t get around to it this week, you can always come back and link up next Tuesday, as I will have them once a week from now on! Yay!

Marilyn Monroe Oil Painting + Kirsty & Friends Linky Party

marilynmonroeoilpainting1small
Yay finally I have finished my Pop Art Marilyn Monroe! Oil Paint on Canvas. Totally black and white as you can see aside from the hot pink smoke from her cigarette. I’m pretty happy with her, but I’m terribly biased. So let me know what you think! You can view my sketch of her here.

Now on to the party! I have done a couple of linky’s in the past but it was never on an ongoing basis but I am committed now and I hope you will be too! So please join up, get your blog some well-deserved exposure and share the love.

While you’re in the joining spirit please visit me and befriend me over at www.stopandadvertise.com too. It’s social networking at its best for your blog/business. Think Facebook meets The Blog Frog. I’ve also got an Art/Photography group over there too that I’d LOVE you to join! Here’s the link: Art/Photography Group.

{Holga} Picnic & Linky Love

holga-heirlooms-2
These are a couple of double exposure shots taken with my toy Holga on a little day picnic a while back. I was planning on showing you my completed Marilyn Monroe oil pop art today but I haven’t uploaded photos yet and I’m a sicko, so instead I’ve delved into my files and pulled out these beauties.

I’m also thinking of starting up my weekly linky party again. Open to all posts that are cruelty-free. It’s a great way to get exposure for your blog and a fun way to find other cool blogs too. I hope you’ll join me. So stayed tuned for my painting and for my parties! You can view the sketch for Marilyn here.

Oh dear… on going through my blog posts I’ve just realised I started the Marilyn sketch in December of 2010… Wow… I thought I’d only started a couple of months ago not forever ago! I’m not a very disciplined painter. In my defence I have been working on two paintings in that time… but still. *In Shock*

These are just a few photographs I took on my little digital when out and about for a drive last weekend. I love how scenic it is.

Wishes Notebook (Penny Black and Stampin’ Up!)

Kirsty Girl's Penny Black Stampin Up notebook #1
I made this little notebook for my dearest Mummy for Mother’s Day and thought I would share it with you. You’re all into crafts right? Anyway the mouse is a cute little Penny Black stamp and the words are from Stampin’ Up!s “Heard From the Heart” stamp set. I thought the two went perfectly together.

It’s a little notebook for writing computer notes in, I’ve written a few in myself about how to upload photos, set the contrast, put in a watermark etc. Also a great place to store all of those usernames and passwords that you can never remember.

I made the clouds by using my Mum’s own special technique, you can see how she does it here. You should all go and check out her blog too because she’s a card-making genius, if you’re into crafts (especially stamping) you’ll love it. Go here.
